Before you buy / Effective September 14, 2026
Shop terms.
Clear expectations for what you receive, how you may use it, and where to get help.
These terms apply to purchases from Ctrl+Alt+Elite Inc’s resource shop at cae-resources.vercel.app and its future resources.ctrlaltelite.org address. The shop is open to everyone. Purchases are digital products, not donations or membership payments. By completing a purchase, you accept these terms and the license for the edition you select.
1. Your purchase and payment
Each product has one or more editions. Your purchase includes only the edition, files, version, and usage rights identified on the product page and at checkout. A higher edition is a separate purchase unless an upgrade offer expressly states otherwise; previous payments are not automatically credited. Keep your order confirmation and a copy of the product description.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and are one-time charges unless the checkout expressly identifies a subscription. Review the final total and any displayed taxes before paying. Stripe processes payment; we do not receive your full card number. You must use an authorized payment method and provide an accurate email address. You must be legally able to make the purchase, or have a parent or guardian purchase for you.
We may correct a listing error before accepting an order. If a material error is discovered after payment, we will contact you to resolve it or refund the affected order; we will not charge an increased price without your agreement.
2. Digital delivery and access
No physical item is shipped. Downloadable kits are supplied as ZIP archives after Stripe confirms payment. The confirmation page provides your private access link, and an automatic email sends that link to the checkout address. Payment processing or email filtering can delay delivery. Check spam and use download recovery if the email is missing. Do not purchase again to fix a delivery problem.
The access page checks payment status and creates a short-lived file link each time you download. If a file link expires, reopen your access page. Anyone with your private access link may be able to download the purchase: do not post or forward it. Save a local backup promptly. We aim to maintain reasonable re-download access, but do not promise permanent hosting, lifetime updates, or compatibility with every future software version. Contact us if a paid download becomes unavailable.
PDFs require a compatible reader; editable documents, spreadsheets, and slides require compatible software such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Formatting can differ in alternative applications. HTML resources open in a browser. Third-party accounts, software, subscriptions, fonts, and services are not included unless explicitly listed. The Security+ Study OS is a Notion toolkit delivered through its separate access flow; any specific guarantee or access instructions shown at its checkout also apply.
3. Edition licenses: buy for your intended use
You receive a non-exclusive license to use the purchased materials, not ownership of our underlying intellectual property. The named buyer or purchasing organization is the license holder. A purchase does not grant unrestricted source-file access to unrelated organizations, an entire client base, affiliates, or resellers.
- Self-Starter, Starter, and Portfolio editions: self-directed learning and the personal or internal activities expressly described in the included guidance. Ransomware Starter / Portfolio does not permit paid or unpaid client workshops.
- Learning + Implementation and Team Training editions: the internal implementation and team education described on the product page. They do not automatically grant client-facing consulting, private-label resale, or redistribution rights.
- Personal Cyber Safety Workshop: facilitated awareness education within the included workshop scope. Choose the Pro / Own-Brand edition for the private-label customization and business packaging expressly included there.
- Ransomware Private-Label Facilitator: customize permitted materials with your brand and facilitate for teams, classes, cohorts, community groups, and clients. You may distribute participant-facing outputs within those engagements. The raw source kit remains restricted.
- Pro / Side Hustle / Own-Brand editions: use the included client delivery, service packaging, and private-label materials within that product’s stated scope. Selling your facilitation or educational service is different from selling or giving away the underlying toolkit.
Read the included license, start-here documents, and customization guide before delivery to anyone else. Product-specific rights control over these general descriptions where they are more specific. No license silently grants unlimited seats, marketplace distribution, sublicensing, or transfer of the source library. If the product page and included guidance appear inconsistent, contact us before the disputed use; we will clarify the purchase as described when sold or offer an appropriate remedy. Later changes to our general terms do not retroactively remove rights already purchased.
4. Customization, teaching, and prohibited redistribution
When your edition permits it, you may add your logo, presenter identity, organization details, examples, and approved local resources; adapt the presentation to your audience; and charge for your own permitted education or facilitation services. Preserve required citations, third-party notices, safety boundaries, and license restrictions. Some private-label editions allow omission of visible public attribution, but that does not allow claiming authorship of the underlying source work.
You may not resell, sublicense, upload, share, or bundle the original or lightly modified source kits as a competing product; place them in public drives, marketplaces, course libraries, or membership downloads; share purchase links; or grant customers reuse rights you do not hold. Participant handouts allowed by a facilitator license do not transfer the complete facilitator source pack. No edition permits deceptive claims of certification, affiliation, official endorsement, or guaranteed results. Internal CAE presentations and archived resources are not part of your purchase.
Third-party trademarks, referenced frameworks, links, software, and materials remain subject to their owners’ terms. Our license cannot grant rights we do not own. Your original additions remain yours; you are responsible for having permission to use them.
5. What support includes
Purchase support covers download and access problems, missing advertised files, corrupted files, and product defects. Contact us through the support form with your checkout email, product and edition, order reference, and a description of the issue. Never send card numbers, passwords, private access links in public, client secrets, or incident evidence containing sensitive information. We may request reasonable proof of purchase before restoring access or changing delivery details.
Unless separately purchased and expressly described, the price does not include live instruction or facilitation, custom branding, client adaptation, one-to-one implementation, legal or insurance advice, forensic analysis, emergency incident response, compliance certification, or ongoing consulting. No response-time service level is included.
6. Refunds, duplicate orders, and defective products
Because digital products can be copied immediately, we generally do not offer change-of-mind refunds after access has been provided. Please compare editions and software requirements before paying. This is not an absolute “no refunds” policy.
Contact us promptly about duplicate charges, a product that cannot be delivered, missing advertised content, or a material defect or mismatch with the description at purchase. We will investigate and offer a working replacement, correction, or refund as appropriate. If we cannot deliver the purchased product or reasonably resolve a material defect, we will refund the affected purchase. Refunds are returned through the original payment method and timing depends on the payment provider. Any specific written product guarantee applies in addition to this policy.
After a full refund, your license to the refunded materials ends: stop using and distributing them and delete your copies, except records you must keep by law. Access can be paused during a payment dispute or revoked following a refund, reversed payment, fraud, or material license violation. Contact us if you believe access was disabled incorrectly. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory cancellation rights, consumer guarantees, or other remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
7. Educational scope and responsible use
These resources support learning, planning, and preparedness. They do not guarantee security, regulatory compliance, certification success, employment, income, insurance coverage, incident recovery, or any business outcome. Tabletop scenarios are educational exercises, not instructions to attack systems or conduct live response. Use only systems and information you are authorized to access. Seek qualified help for an active incident or specialized legal, financial, medical, insurance, or technical needs.
Review and adapt all templates before use. Validate AI-generated output, technical settings, local requirements, and references. Do not upload confidential, personal, regulated, or client information to AI or other third-party services without appropriate authorization and safeguards. You are responsible for your implementation, client claims, original modifications, and delivery within your competence.
Information and third-party links can become outdated. The scam awareness library is an educational reference, not a real-time threat feed, emergency service, or individualized determination that a person or message is fraudulent. We may correct or remove content. Report urgent threats to the appropriate authorities.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, materials are provided without promises beyond their stated description and any express guarantee. We do not assume responsibility for indirect losses or business results arising from your use. These limits do not exclude fraud, willful misconduct, liabilities that cannot be excluded, or your mandatory consumer rights.
8. Privacy and transaction messages
We use checkout and contact information to fulfill orders, send access emails, recover purchases, prevent abuse, handle support, and maintain required transaction records. Transaction emails are separate from marketing consent. See the shop privacy notice for the services involved and how to make a privacy request.
9. Changes, questions, and disputes
The terms in effect when you purchase govern that purchase, except changes required by law or agreed with you. New editions, prices, and future purchases may have different terms. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive your right to use a competent court or consumer protection authority. Please contact Ctrl+Alt+Elite Inc first so we can try to resolve a concern. Questions about a license should be resolved before sharing or commercial delivery.
